"RANGLA PUNJAB 2004": Annual Vaisakhi Cultural Program
You and your family are invited to "Rangla Punjab '2004" on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. sharp at Gateway Theatre, 5216 Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL. Tickets are $10 (at gate $15), $25 per person. Children under 10 are free. Reserved seating & front rows $50, $100/VIP tickets are also available. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.  Click here (.pdf)

Over 2000 are expected to attend. Last year it was a sold-out show. Seats are limited so advance purchase is recommended. Tickets are on sale now at many Indian stores. Strict security will be enforced.

PARKING: PCS has made special arrangements with Gateway Theater to acquire adjoining Parking Lots in addition to Gateway theatre parking lot, "Rangla Punjab Parking allowed" signs will be placed at all eligible lots. Please park in the lots marked with "Rangla Punjab Parking allowed" signs only. Also there are plenty of streets parking available on Lawrence Ave and Milwaukee Ave. and all other side streets.

"Rangla Punjab" has been the authentic, traditional, state of the art Punjabi Cultural variety annual event in the Chicagoland area since last two decades. It is to preserve and promote Punjabi language, cultural heritage and to encourage and harness local Punjabi artists including youth. Rangla Punjab Home Page

SPONSORS and DONORS will be appreciated and appropriately recognized. Reserved parking will be provided to the sponsors. Booths and banners display also available.  Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago is a registered non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with Internal Revenue Services ID # 37-1321120 and your donations made to PCS are tax deductible to the extent permitted by IRS.

PUNJABI YOUTH GRADUATION NIGHT: PCS will hold 4th annual Punjabi Youth Graduation Night in Chicagoland on Sunday, 5pm, June 13th, 2004 at Viceroy of India Banquets in Lombard to honor Punjabi Graduates for their achievements. All the graduates of the year 2004 shall register their names with PCS to be honored at this event. Rangla Punjab 2004 Participants will also be honored at the Youth Graduation Night. P.C.S. SCHOLARSHIPS:  P. C. S. will award $500 scholarships to qualified High School Seniors & college undergraduate Punjabi Students at "PCS Youth Graduation Night". Deadline to apply is Sunday, May 9, 2004. An independent council of judges will decide winners. PUNJABI SPORTS FESTIVAL 2004:  PCS is planing to hold its tenth annual Punjabi Sports Festival 2004 on two consecutive days on Saturday and Sunday in summer 2004 in Palatine, IL.   Kabaddi, Basketball, Soccer and Volleyball teams are being formed now. ASIAN AMERICAN COALITION OF CHICAGO: annual dinner banquet was hosted by Thai American Community on February 28, 2004 at Hyatt Regency O'Hare. PASSPORT TO THE WORLD: India Festival: will be held at Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier throughout the month of May 2004. PCS will be organizing Bus trips from Palatine Gurdwara Sahib on May 23rd  leaving Palatine Gurudwara at 11:30am and Devon Gurudwara at 12:00noon & back by 7:00pm. Advance reservation is required. ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE Month celebration is scheduled throughout the month of May 2004. Asian American Festival is scheduled to be held at Daley Center Plaza May 17th-21st . PCS encourage all Asian Americans to participate in the mainstream events.

Mr. SAINI HONORED: At a special Volunteers Recognition Dinner on November 5, 2003, Mr. Mohinderjit Singh Saini, member Zoning Board of Appeals was honored by the Mayor and Council of the Village of Palatine, IL.
