Cornell University Bhangra Team (Ithaca, New York)
The Cornell Mundey has time and again exhilarated audiences through
displays of creative stunts and raw energy. The theme for the Mundey
this year is “Excerpts from the lives of youth in Punjab”. The dance
will feature the sporting and festive aspects of the lives young men in
Punjab such as the games, like kabbaddi and wresting, as well as the
celebrations, through Bhangra. The finale of the performances will be
marked the innovative stunts that typify the style of Cornell Bhangra.

V.I.B.E: The Vancouver International
Bhangra Explosion
The Vancouver International Bhangra Explosion (V.I.B.E.) dance team
formed in January 2001 and it consists of some of Vancouver's finest
Indian dancers. V.I.B.E. was formed to compete in prestigious dance
competitions all over North America. V.I.B.E.'s recent success has led
them to become one of North America's most exciting and competitive
teams and has helped put Vancouver on the international Bhangra map.
Bhangra is an integral part of each team member's personal life and
their love for the art of Punjab is unmatched through their on stage
charisma!
Although this is a young team, it has won plenty of hardware to be
recognized as one of the best teams from all of North America. In their
last six competitions, they have continuously won first place, and show
no sign of slowing down.
V.I.B.E. is the current back to back defending champions of Bruin
Bhangra (Los Angeles). The team most recently competed in October at
the 2003 ZEE TV World Bhangra Championships (New York) where they won
first place for the second year in a row. V.I.B.E. is a traditional
bhangra team with a modern touch and is looking very forward to
entertaining its’ next audience, CHICAGO, ARE U READY!!!!!

Rooh Punjab Dee was formed in 2003 by a group of
students attending suburban high schools in the
Schaumburg area and also college students from the
University of Illinois at Chicago. The team members
have a strong cultural background and are very much in
touch with their Punjabi roots. The newly formed team
has participated in a limited number of bhangra
competitions but anyone who has seen their
performances can tell that these young men dance with
passion and a deep love for their beloved Punjabi
culture and heritage. Rooh Punjab Dee is an up and
coming Bhangra team which is dedicated to showcasing
the popular folkdance of Punjab, Bhangra, with
traditional bhangra dance moves and popular song
selections. They are the essence of Punjab radiating
energy and enthusiasm. They are Rooh Punjab Dee.
